CareSouth would like to give a big-hearted shout out to Tullimbar’s Bungalow Early Childhood Centre.

Staff and kids from the centre celebrated Pyjama Day this month and raised $500 for CareSouth’s Illawarra foster care program.

Rebecca Raschilla, owner of the centre, and director Kelly Mena, hold pyjama week in August each year as part of the annual Pyjama Foundation fundraiser.

“This year we wanted to reach out to someone local supporting children in foster care and we chose CareSouth,” said Rebecca. “We are passionate about giving back to the community and we wanted to raise money and awareness for the kids in CareSouth’s foster care program.”

Caring for a child or young person can be a very rewarding journey; if you are loving, caring, kind and respectful to children and young people and have the time and space to care for them, you already have what it takes to be a foster carer.
