We are delighted to announce that CareSouth Deniliquin won the Outstanding Community Organisation at the Deniliquin Business Chamber’s Excellence Awards on the weekend.
Since 2013, CareSouth has been a cornerstone of the Deniliquin community, and was the first foster care agency to support the western NSW region. Since then it has grown from a team of one – caseworker Pru McManus – to more than 30 dedicated staff who enhance the quality of life for everyone they serve.
Pru is now CareSouth’s Regional Manager, Western and leads a team committed to building better futures through promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion across all aspect of their work.
“The Deniliquin team’s commitment to those we support and passion for what we do was recognised by the wider community in winning this award,” says Pru.
“The Deniliquin and surrounding community have really come on board to support CareSouth, it’s because of this, and our team’s support of one another, that we are one of the leading service providers in Western NSW. It’s an achievement that we are all very proud of”.
Judges praised CareSouth for supporting cultural belonging and striving for best-practice service delivery, saying the organisation exemplifies what it means to be a leader in community services.
CareSouth would like to thank the Purtill Group for sponsoring this award and Neville Purtill (pictured) for presenting it.
CareSouth Deniliquin urgently needs more foster carers to support children and young people in the local community. The organisation’s vision is based on founder Jim McEwan’s belief that “every kid deserves a terrific life”. If you think you can help call 1300 554 260 or visit www.caresouth.org.au
