Employee health and wellbeing in the workplace is the most important it’s ever been. The pandemic has seen a seismic shift in our workplaces over the last three years, with a renewed focus on staff wellbeing, hybrid working conditions and access to training and advancement opportunities. CareSouth’s People and Culture team is at the forefront of this change, supporting nearly 500 employees delivering frontline and corporate services to children, young people, people with disability and families.
CareSouth is an innovative Community Services organisation located in seven regions across the length and breadth of NSW. Their services include foster care, youth support and homelessness, disabilities, and early intervention.
The corporate services team that supports these operations include finance, property, marketing communications and customer care, along with people and culture. Without the corporate services functions, CareSouth’s frontline staff couldn’t do what they do.
People and Culture Advisor, Casey Lovell says of CareSouth, “I chose to work at CareSouth to advance my human resources career because, in my own small way, I’m supporting children that are less fortunate than others. Supporting caseworkers or support workers to work with children, young people or those with a disability to keep them safe gives me the satisfaction that our work and my contribution matters. It’s a powerful feeling.”
The People and Culture team at CareSouth are composed, responsive and intuitive – the very nature of its business means ‘change’ happens a lot. They use strategic recruitment techniques to attract staff of the highest calibre, and then once they’re onboard, they leverage a solutions-based approach to foster personal relationships and support staff with their needs.
CareSouth is currently recruiting for People and Culture team leaders and advisors. They welcome people from all areas of life, as they believe in hiring people as diverse as the people it supports.
